Inspection 2012 |
23-06-2012 2nd inspection and 1st IBOP saddle test for Friesians took place in Russia. All KFSP evens all around the world are judged only by KFPS inspectors. The Nonprofit Partnership of Friesian Breeders assists in the KFPS events in Russia. This year both the inspection and IBOP were held in the Kartsevo Stud (Moscow Region, Istra District). This year Jan Hendriks and Bauke de Boer came for judging. These honourable gentlemen not only members of KFPS Inspection Team, but also a succesful breeders. In particular, on the de Boer family Stud the best Friesian mare 2011 Annichje fan Bokkum was born.
Long day began at nine in the morning with a clinic of Jan Hendriks dedicated a new (for us) theme: the breeding values, built on the basis of the linear scores.
IBOPAfter measurings, judges returned in indoor manege for judging IBOP-test. In performance testing 5 horses participated in age from 4 to 11 years. Jerke van Coudenburgh and Jelco Z. scored 79 points and 79.5 respectively. The result of Sjirk fan de ‘Kromme Jelte’ — 76 points. Young Abe fan it Hiem and Djurre van Erve Bruggert got not such high scores for riding test, which is largely due to the small experience in events outside their stables. Stallions were not relaxed, so they not showed their natural abilities. Conclusions of judges will help all owners adjust the work with their horses, paying special attention to the basic gaits. Further participants can improve their results, because the test can be run more than once. However, 40 % of horses that successfully complete the test — an excellent result for the first Russian IBOP!
After lunch break spectators were invited on the second clinic, primarily breeders — owners of mares. Jan Hendriks discussed the methodology of selecting stallions, with maximum use of all available information provided KFPS. This clinic was logically connected with the first topic of the day, so that the most attentive listeners were able to get the full representation of the role of inspections in a competent and faithful selection sequence of any breeder of Friesians. Success of the Dutch in horse-breeding very visible, and their technologies deserve a thorough study. And we do our best to ensure that similar events do regular, provide an opportunity for Russian breeders to take the best from our foreign colleagues.
InspectionWhen the sun has gone out of the zenith, the main event just started: inspection. This year inspection was carried out in the outdoor manege, where horses could show themselves better. Another change — shape of arena: starting this year the ring for inspection shaped isosceles triangle (or rather, trapeze, on top of which the judges are standing). The first foals came to the ring with their mothers. Foals, chipped just before the inspection:
Next yearling and 2-year-old mares:
Rubric 5: mares from 4 years and older (VB). Two horses were presented. Both were registered in Stamboek. Champion of the rubric — Afke Stal de Oergong:
In Rubric 6 two VB 3-years-old mares were presented. Both received the 2nd premium and the Ster title:
Rubric 7 — for Stb mares without Ster title.Five-year Weltsje van Holwerde Sathe, despite the positive reviews of judges, this time was left without a premium:
Nine-year-old ruin Jelco Z., received 1st Premium again:
In Rubriek 15 yearling foals born in Alexey Grebnev's farm were showed:
Rubriek 17 — for VB-stallions to become Ster.Unfortunately no one of the five parties not achieved this goal.
And in the final the watching VB-stallions with breeding licenses was conducted. In Russia today we have two such stallions: Jerke van Coudenburgh and Thomas van de Vogelenzang:
Among ring champions (5, 6, 7, 14 and 17) judges choose best mare and, in the absence of new Ster stallions, best ruin: Fleur A. T. and Jelco Z.Horses were awarded with KFPS ribbons. And Martijn Meijer gave blankets to the winners:
After award ceremony there was a nice surprise from Kartsevo Stud: Anastasia Petrova and Eugene Sharangovich changed runner's white uniform on a bright suits, and showed the audience the «Tango» with Friesian stallions Anton and Jerke.
Instead of an epilogueWe are very grateful to all who participated in the inspection and test IBOP, everyone who was somehow involved in the organization. And, of course, the audience, among whom were the owners of Friesian horses, not showed so far on Russian inspections. We hope to see all of you at KFPS events coming!
